CEO / Founder Kathryn A. Bryan

Kathryn Bryan has over 30 years of combined criminal justice experience. Her service as a US Army Military Police Officer, responsible for law enforcement operations and the confinement of prisoners both in peacetime garrison confinement facilities as well as in areas of conflict, provided a foundation for her corrections career. 

As a Detention Administrator, corrections trainer, and corrections consultant, Ms. Bryan has extensive direct operational experience that includes, but is not limited to, budget preparation and management, compliance audits, staffing assessments, detainee medical management, correctional leadership, confinement-related systems assessments, space planning, detention contracts negotiation, standards compliance, policy and post order development and implementation, and staff training and development. Ms. Bryan’s experience enables her to evaluate and design operational projects in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with standards.

Ms. Bryan provides operational guidance with a depth of knowledge in all areas of corrections. She is a certified expert witness in federal court for lawsuits arising from confinement facilities nationwide. This allows her to assess operations with a focus on mitigating risk and liability. Ms. Bryan is an instructor in criminal justice and was selected by the NC Attorney General to develop training curriculum on inmate medical care for the North Carolina New Sheriff’s Leadership Institute. Ms. Bryan is a certified instructor and technical resource provider for the National Institute of Corrections and the American Jail Association with specializations in confinement staffing, operational issues, and detainee medical management models.
